Long bio (150 words)
Jessica Capone is a contemporary ceramic artist based in Brooklyn, New York. Working primarily by hand, she builds figurative sculptures, wall-mounted ceramic pieces, and sculptural or functional objects that sit between craft and fine art. Her ongoing "Ladies" series — figurative character studies rendered in clay — anchors a broader practice concerned with gesture, surface, and the quiet strangeness of the everyday. Wall pieces and objects extend that vocabulary into architectural and domestic space. Each work is one-of-a-kind, hand-built in her Brooklyn studio, and available directly through her website or by commission. Exhibitions are documented in curated albums on the site, and inquiries from galleries, press, and collectors are welcome through the contact page.
